Homework: Manifest Destiny
The United States has not accepted a new state since 1960, the year Mr. Rideout was born. Imagine you represent the people of a territory that wants to become the next state of the United States of America.
Write up an explanation of why your territory (area) wants to become the next state (first paragraph), as well as where your territory is and what you have to offer your new country (second paragraph).
