You have the choice to either work with a partner or alone to do one of the following projects:
1. A Powerpoint (presented to the class) on why you think Andrew Jackson was either a national hero or a historical embarrassment.
-- Your powerpoint must include:
-- A title slide
-- A slide at the end showing your sources
-- At least five other slides showing facts from at least three different sources
Here is the Powerpoint rubric:

2. A debate with another team. Your argument will either endorse (support) Andrew Jackson or argue against his actions as President.
-- Your debate must include:
-- At least three supporting points
-- Must be ready for rebuttals
Here is the debate rubric:

3. Either a Wanted Poster OR a press release (newspaper article) for Andrew Jackson's Hero of the Century Award. (Total possible points for this choice: 3/4 = B) Your poster needs to have at least five facts. You can work with a partner to do research, but you need to create your own poster/press release.
Here is the rubric for the Wanted Poser/Press Release:

Each project must use a minimum of three different sources and they must be documented. See the next blog post for information on citing sources.
